New 2007 mileage rate for transportation to obtain medical care
IRS Revenue Procedure 2006-49 (November 1, 2006)
The IRS has announced that the standard mileage rate for use of an automobile to obtain medical care (which may be a deductible medical expense for healthcare FSA's, HRA's and HSA's) will be $.20 per mile for 2007. For 2006, the mileage rate is $.18 per mile.
